The standout feature of Da Antonio is the personal touch that Chef Antonio adds. Guests often mention the interactive cooking experience, where they can see their dishes being prepared right in front of them. The generous portion sizes at reasonable prices also earn thumbs-ups, along with the high-quality, homemade ingredients that evoke the authentic taste of Italy. The option to bring your own wine, with a small corkage fee, adds a customizability that many diners appreciate. Customers rave about the delicious meatballs, the fresh calamari, and the rich aroma that fills the restaurant, setting the stage for a delightful meal.

Most Disliked

Some patrons might miss the convenience of having an extensive drink menu since the restaurant does not serve alcohol directly. The corkage fee for bringing in one's liquor, though reasonable, may not appeal to those who prefer a nuanced wine pairing with their meal. The cozy atmosphere, while intimate, can feel cramped during busy dining periods as there are only six tables. Also, a smaller menu selection means that diners seeking a wider variety of options might feel limited, especially during lunch hours when the focus is on quick bites and small plates.

On our last night in Scotland, we had no plans for dinner, so a Google search led us to Da Antonio's. This is a small, family-ran restaurant that has 6 tables and seating for a total of 14. The minute you walk into this cozy restaurant, you can smell the love. The kitchen is separated from the dining area by a low counter, so you can watch your delicious meal being made. The chef interacts with his diners while preparing their meals. I had the asparagus and the carbanara and my husband had the stuffed peppers and the cacciatore. Everything was well-prepared and delicious. Portions are large and prices are very reasonable. I would go back to Glasgow just to eat here!!

My husband and I were on our way to England after dropping off our daughter at the Glasgow Airport on a Sunday evening. After several attempts to get dinner, we called to see if we could dine in here. The phone was answered by none other than Antonio himself. He assured us he was open til 9pm in his heavily-accented English. Star 1! When we arrived, he welcomed us and came to our table to personally tell us about the Chef Antonio evening specials. Star 2! We ordered bread, meatballs, fried calamari, the house Chicken Diavolo, and the Pasta Putenesca. We grabbed the bottle of Chiante we had in the car, and feasted! Being able to bring our own wine? Star 3! The food was all homemade and fresh. We were able to see Antonio season our dishes to perfection as he prepared each dish. Star 4! He checked on us and made sure everything was perfect, even though we had an attentive waitress. Star 5! The day was cold and rainy, but Antonio warmed our souls with his delicious food and conversation. The prices were so inexpensive and worth every pound we paid. Grazie, Antonio! We hope to return someday! Star 10! The prices were

Amazing Italian food and lovely service. Made to feel very welcome, great value for money and the dishes were better than some that I've had in Italy. Couldn't rate higher and will definitely be back :)

It’s like having a personal chef cooking for you - Toni whilst in his open kitchen will chat with you whilst expertly cooking an array of the finest Italian food. Food is absolutely stunning - nothing is too much trouble, if it’s not on the menu, if Toni has the ingredients he will cook it for you. By far, the best Italian restaurant in Lanarkshire by a country mile !

If you are looking for true authentic Italian food, look no further. It's small inside so I'd recommend booking. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming and friendly. The smell when first going in is delicious and immediately makes you hungry. I've been dining with Antonio for years and in my opinion everywhere else palls in comparison. Treat yourself to the best pate I've ever tasted and please don't miss out on the lobster ravioli. Please don't ask me about the mains, I have too many favourites. I think it's always a bonus to see your chef cooking your meal. My tatsebuds go into overdrive watching him and smelling what he's cooking. Always check out the specials board. If you're looking for some cheeky banter, the lovely Delia will happily provide it. I'm sure my husband goes to see her and not to dine with me. We love here so much, we had our wedding meal here. Not only do I trust Antonio with my sit in meals, he's now preparing my Christmas dinner. I collect it in Christmas Eve and heat it in the oven in Christmas Day. Don't miss out on a special treat.
